elcome to The Wren's Nest!

I am very pleased to announce the opening of the Goatea Room, my exclusive tea room featuring unique and uncommon teas from around the world. The Goatea Room is available by reservation only. Please be sure to check out the menu (and additional pictures and information about my two goats) in the "Goatea Room" section of my website! Also, please be sure to see this Oakland Press article (The Wren's Nest's fifth news feature!) on my establishment.

In addition, I currently have an internship position open. Please call or e-mail us for more details!

Guests at my bed-and-breakfast are treated to a stay in a historic home that dates back to 1840s, when it was part of the original 80 acres purchased by the William Coe family in 1832.  As the fourth owner of the home, I am proud to preserve this historic Greek Revival home while making it a comfortable, convenient and charming bed-and-breakfast located in a country-like setting.  Guests - adults, children and pets - are treated to old-fashion hospitality with modern conveniences.

I personally greet every guest and see to their comfort.  You'll feel at home in one of the six large bedrooms at my inn and when you are relaxing or working near the wood-burning fireplace, watching television in the living room or enjoying quiet time or stimulating conversation on one of the two sun porches.

I'll make sure you start your day in the mornings with a full course homemade breakfast, prepared from scratch with only the freshest foods and no preservatives.  (We are more than willing to cater for specific dietary needs.  Please let us know when making a reservation.)

Please take a stroll through my home through this website.  I hope we'll have an opportunity to meet soon.

Best Wishes,

Irene Scheel, Proprietor
